Sauk Prairie Goes Live; Gateway Hits 1000 Users.

Information from the Sauk Prairie Police Department will be available in production beginning on Wednesday, September 5th. At the same time, WIJIS has now registered over 1,000 Wisconsin law enforcement officers as Gateway users.

Sauk Prairie Goes Live

Chief Jerry Strunz of the Sauk Prairie Police Department has worked with his RMS vendor, Xpediter out of San Jose, CA to upload pointers to incident, arrest, and other records dating back to February 1997 to the Gateway. Sauk Prairie will complete the record retrieval capability as part of a second phase to its project. Other Xpediter customers, including the police departments of Westby, Stoddard, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse are also in the process of applying to submit their data through the Gateway.

1000 Gateway Users

The number of users registered to access the Gateway securely crossed the 1,000-user threshold today. Usage of the system continues to increase. Users are once again encouraged to send success stories and suggestions for system improvement to WIJIS by sending an email to wijisfeedback@wisconsin.gov. A link to that email address appears at the bottom of every page on the Gateway.
