The planned Gateway outage for last night and this morning was successful. The Gateway, and all of its services, are now back in service.

This outage allowed WIJIS staff to implement some major improvements in performance, so Gateway search times will not bog down under heavy usage traffic.

More importantly, the Gateway now includes an Online User Provisioning function, that will eliminate the paperwork that had been required to sign new users up for the Gateway. More importantly, it also puts each local agency directly in control of managing its users' access to the Gateway.

If you are a User Administrator, you will be receiving more information on this improvement shortly. If not, rest assured that we continue to work hard to add more data sources to the Gateway, and improve its use a crime-fighting tool in your arsenal!
