The police chief of a small department in southwestern Wisconsin reports that his department has successfully used the Gateway to aid in investigations of suspicious activities.
Some suspects come back with no criminal history, but Gateway searches reveal contacts for similar activities in other communities.
No arrest yet, but the information from the Gateway helps this chief allocate his resources --and his officer' attention-- on people who may pose a greater threat than others.
