Information from Wisconsin counties' DA offices is now available through a new high-security interface through the Gateway to DA Protect. Users wishing to access this new information source through the Gateway must use two-factor authentication. For law enforcement users with accounts in the Wisconsin DOJ Justice Directory, this means a user must be assigned a SafeWord token and use that token's one time password when logging in. Each token is about the size of a key fob (and has a hole for adding to a key ring, in fact). To use the token, the single button on the token is pressed, which shows a one-time-use-only password in its LCD display. The Gateway's login form now has a new third field for entry of this one time password, which would accompany the regularly entered userID and password. Users who do not possess a token may still use single-factor authentication to access shared law enforcement information through the Gateway, which means a user can still enter just the regular userID and password while leaving the one time password field blank. See your agency's User Administrator with any questions. [For permanent posting; linked from Gateway login page.]
