The La Crosse Office of Emergency Management and its consortium partners began contributing production information to the WIJIS Justice Gateway in July. For some recent press coverage of this milestone, visit the La Crosse Tribune; La Crosse's WKBT TV and Eau Claire's WEAU TV.
Information from the Sauk Prairie Police Department will be available in production beginning on Wednesday, September 5th. At the same time, WIJIS has now registered over 1,000 Wisconsin law enforcement officers as Gateway users.
Brown Deer, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg and Middleton are the latest agencies to "go live," bringing the total to 29 police and sheriffs' departments fully connected to the WIJIS Justice Gateway.
With invaluable assistance from DOJ, WIJIS staff successfully completed the maintenance and updates to the Gateway this morning.
Chief Ruzinski and the Menomonee Falls Police Department believe that the WIJIS Justice Gateway will "foster better coordination and cooperation" amongst Wisconsin's law enforcement community. And you know what? We agree with her. Congratulations to Chief Ruzinski and the Menomonee Falls Police Department for all their hard work in joining the WIJIS Justice Gateway.
Information from Wisconsin counties' DA offices is now available through a new high-security interface through the Gateway to DA Protect.

Over the past few months, the WIJIS Gateway has continued to expand by adding new data sources. Since the beginning of the year the following local law enforcement agencies have started submitting data to the WIJIS Gateway: Fitchburg PD, Sun Prairie PD, Middleton PD, Hudson PD, North Hudson PD, River Falls PD, Roberts PD, Woodville PD, Baldwin PD, and St. Croix County Sheriff's Department. The addition of these agencies means there are currently 89 local law enforcement agencies submitting data to the WIJIS Gateway. Additionally, there are a number of other local law enforcement agencies currently working with WIJIS staff to begin submitting data to the Gateway. We fully anticipate the number of agencies submitting data to the Gateway to continue to grow throughout 2009.
Secondly, Milwaukee County District Attorney's office recently started contributing data to the DA PROTECT system. Data from the DA PROTECT system has been available on the WIJIS Gateway since the summer of 2008.
Finally, the WIJIS Gateway struck another milestone earlier this week. At this time over 150 local law enforcement agencies are signed up to search the Gateway for valuable criminal justice data. As a result, over 50% of the population of the State of Wisconsin lives in a jurisdiction that is either submitting data or search for data on the WIJIS Gateway.
The Justice Gateway is pleased to congratulate the member agencies of the Manitowoc Consortium on reaching production status. The Consortium is composed of the following agencies: Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department, City of Manitowoc Police Department, City of Two Rivers Police Department and City of Kiel Police Department. The agencies will be contributing records dating back to June 2005.
Congratulations to the South Milwaukee Police Department on entering into production status on the Justice Gateway. The Department will be entering records extending back to August 1998. Welcome to the Justice Gateway!
The Justice Gateway welcomes the Cudahy Police Department, which recently entered production status. The Department will be contributing records dating back to January 2009. Congratulations to the Cudahy Police Department for achieving this milesone.
